Senior Financial Analyst - Princeton, NJ/Charlotte, NC

Position Summary

The finance department works across the organization to aggregate and consolidate financial information, including realized results and forward projections, and assesses the implications across the organization. The finance team manages forecasting and budgeting as well as cash and liquidity, credit agreement compliance for issued liabilities, counterparty credit and capital structure. Regular reporting is produced for company management to review these areas.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making, including valuations, scenario analysis, and support deal execution
  • Analyze financial statements and key performance indicators to assess business performance
  • Prepare and analyze plant budgets, forecasts, and cash flow in collaboration with others in the organizations
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for senior management, including meaningful variance explanation
  • Partner with project teams to prepare plant and corporate budget presentations
  • Prepare periodic reporting provided to internal and external parties
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, information updates, and reporting as needed

Education/Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or related, CFA or MBA preferred
  • Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills and analysis of returns metrics, DCF, IRR, etc.
  • Meaningful experience in corporate finance, investment banking or energy industry
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience working with legal documents and contracts
